About US:

aYo Insurance Brokers Uganda – SMC Limited is a subsidiary of MTN and Sanlam Group. It offers life and hospital insurance using technology, analytics, mobile and digital channels.

 

Job Purpose: The Marketing Officer will work closely with the General manager, the Group Head of marketing & CVM to develop, implement and execute marketing plans in line with the aYo brand within aYo Uganda in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieving sales targets for the unassisted channel in line with the overall sales department.
  • Analyzing market trends and recommend changes to marketing and business development strategies based on analysis and feedback.
  • Managing creation and delivery of press releases, advertisements, and other marketing materials.
  • Work with the General manager to coordinate with the external agency (Adlab) or partners to ensure timely delivery of aYo work.
  • Ensuring consistency and alignment in brand communications in line with company interests and guidelines.
  • Collecting, analyzing and presenting customer insight at various levels in the company hierarchy.
  • Nurturing and enriching all external perceptions of the company and growth of market share.
  • Engaging consumers on various social media channels through execution of the aYo Group strategy.
  • Coordinating, managing and growing relationships with all media platforms to ensure the most effective corporation and positioning of the organization.
  • Prepare content generation and production across all media platforms.
  • Extracting, preparing and sharing data-driven analytics to grow the business ‘objectives.
  • Driving the overall CRM, direct marketing and unassisted sales.
  • Drive the internal marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Human Resource department.
  • Preparing marketing reports
  • And any other duties assigned to you by your line manager.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Marketing or Business-related.
  • Professional marketing qualification such as CIM, is of added advantage
  • Three to five years of experience in a marketing, marketing experience with a telecom / digital company is of an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in digital and trade marketing.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective team work skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc
